You cry for it, you loathe it,
Bringing in equal measure, the extremes,
It's for you to decide, how it does fit,
The joy you get, or, might be mires.
When it comes, dull and gloomy,
You don't forsee the joy,
The lushness it spreads, all greeny,
The gloom is just a ploy.
What we eat, what we get,
The rain decides. The One above decides.
The just reward for the farmer's sweat,
His joy in us he confides.
Let's take the break it gives,
From the heat, the monotony, the despair,
Let's give thanks, nature thrives,
With it swells, the indulgence, I Swear.
Come on smile, the trouble's for now,
Rains will come, to the heat, don't cow.
Bringing in equal measure, the extremes,
It's for you to decide, how it does fit,
The joy you get, or, might be mires.
When it comes, dull and gloomy,
You don't forsee the joy,
The lushness it spreads, all greeny,
The gloom is just a ploy.
What we eat, what we get,
The rain decides. The One above decides.
The just reward for the farmer's sweat,
His joy in us he confides.
Let's take the break it gives,
From the heat, the monotony, the despair,
Let's give thanks, nature thrives,
With it swells, the indulgence, I Swear.
Come on smile, the trouble's for now,
Rains will come, to the heat, don't cow.
