A Friend Missed

All the ways to reach you, exhausted,
Avenues missed, ways not remembered,
Relative ways, relatively lost.
Once a glimmer, a hope kindled,
Nipped, A phone call not forwarded.

Now, still searching, ways to be had,
Interest never waning, yearning,
Never losing a chance to ask, to find,
Another way to get in touch,
Now the urge, urging the hope.

Joy was when we learnt together,
Accepting each other for what we were,
Caring, not to hurt, forgiving faults,
Oh for a way to those old days,
Before time runs out, come on, give a shout.

Breaking Free

It ain't so easy, it may seem so,
You're left hoping it had been so.
The ways you've been,
the lot that you've seen,
practices that've been followed,
you, followed, hallowed, hollowed,
scars that you thought would heal,
trails, traces, that to you does squeal.
Your accquaintances that keep bound,
all this, strange it may sound.
But, it wrenches your gut,
you like your mind to shut,
everything looks like eating you,
comforts are rare, to clutch a few.
Hearts broken to pieces here,
names torn to shreds there.
It takes guts, to break free,
to be silent and set free,
not be all wheasy and queasy,
cause, Breaking Free, it ain't easy.

God's Mercies

God knows what's to be done,
for me, for every one.
All everyone needs is fun,
come pouring rain or shining sun.
When our lives go to our plans,
we say God has blessed our clans.
The moment they look going awry,
our humour quickly runs dry.
With the very tongue that praised,
we start cursing, voices unraised.
Our own lives are his true mercies,
not afterthoughts, or courtesies.
The time we learn to sing his praise,
not longing for any other raise,
that's when we fulfill, His will, His mercies,
and know, what keeps us, God's Mercies.

A Humble Beginning

This is the first, though it's been a long time coming. Hope to follow up with more.

The first step, baby step, faltering,
The first drop, feeling cold,
The first word, unsure,
The very first time, a trickle,
Hoping the trickle stays true,
Hoping it dosen't dry up,
Hoping not for a deluge,
Hoping just that the trickle atleast stays.
